I managed to convince my owner that it would be a good idea to go on a course to find out what we have to do before we take the test. I knew I could do it without any problems, but I had doubts about the ability of my owner to be able to manage. So off we went for a week end at Rakkestad on a course given by Tor Magne Gramstad and organised jointly by the Norsk Spaniel Klub, Oslo/Akershus and Østfold.
Even though I say it myself, we both learnt a lot of new things and I even got to meet my brother Presto (Kahill’s Man In The Mirror) and Ronja (Kahill’s Superfly Sister).
My breeder Ellen Getz Wold managed to convince my owner that just maybe it would be a good idea to have a mock test before the big event. With Ellen acting as the judge Ronja and I were given the opportunity to show off. We knew it would be no problem, but you know what humans are like!!!!!
The test day 4th September 2011 eventually arrived, cold, misty with scattered showers. I really enjoyed myself showing off in front of all those people. My owner thought we were home and dry, but I still had a trick up my sleeve to give him something to worry about. Yep, when the bird was thrown into the water I decided not to run and jump in, but walked to the water’s edge, took a sniff and then went for a paddle along the bank. When I turned around, I saw the look of horror and disbelief on my owners face, so just to cheer him up I decided to jump in and retrieve the bird.
After a day of doing what I like to do guess what, I was even given a prize. I will never understand these humans.
